The officials and employees of all the ministries have applied to various departments including the Ministry of Public Administration with nine-point demands in the Secretariat.
They made a nine-point demand on Monday (August 19). In order to implement the demands, it was informed that the vocal movement will continue with three representatives from each ministry and department including the president, general secretary.
Earlier, on Sunday, elected representatives of welfare associations and officials of all ministries/departments gathered at the secretariat library of the Ministry of Public Administration and demanded the current government to change their titles, remove professional and salary discrimination, and set up a salary commission to resolve their long-standing anger and frustration.
Representatives of 35 ministries/departments spoke. In order to implement the nine-point demands raised by them, the elected representatives of all the ministries/departments met in a team at the office of the Senior Secretary, Additional Secretary (Rules) and Additional Secretary (Council) of the Ministry of Public Administration. Discussions included immediate reservation of one-third of the posts at various levels for non-cadres, re-designation of various grades to remove existing gross disparities, reinstatement of time scale and selection grade excluded on the pretext of certain litigations as per Pay Commission 2015 recommendations, reduction of the number of scales/grades in the pay structure from 20 They came up with the action plan and action plan for making 16 grades, restoring 100% pension, setting gratuity rate at 1:500 instead of 1:230, abolishing all block posts and creating opportunities for promotion on the same scale, status and similar scales, immediate formation of the 9th National Pay Commission etc. discussed
