US President Donald Trump has continued the process of sending illegal immigrants back to their country to fulfill his election promise. As part of this, 104 Indians were recently sent back. They were sent back on a US military plane, and as a punishment, the migrants who were sent back were tied with their hands and feet. The incident has sparked a storm of criticism of the government in India, especially against the Modi government's knee-jerk policy.

Indian migrant Kulwinder Kar, who could not contact her husband Harvinder Singh, finally learned that her husband was also among the 104. Harvinder, who had arrived in the US from Punjab, was sent back with women and children and sat on a US military plane with his hands and feet tied for 40 hours. They traveled for 40 hours on the crowded floor of the plane.

The Indians who were sent back in this way were treated very badly, which has caused outrage across India. Political leaders, especially opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, have been critical of the Modi government. They have questioned why the Indian government has not put pressure on the Trump administration to stop such inhumane treatment.

India's Ministry of External Affairs said that 15,756 Indians have been deported since 2009, and 487 more may be deported this time. However, there has been a demand for more humane treatment for these returning migrants.

Congress leaders Manickam Thakur and Shashi Tharoor have strongly criticised the incident, calling it "painful and shameful". Protests have also started on social media, where Indians have been treated like criminals.

Young Indians, who sell everything they have to reach the US through the "Dunki" route, are being forced to return in this way, which is very difficult and dishonorable for them.
