Heavy rains kill 341 in Pakistan

A total of 341 people were killed between July 1 and September 5 in accidents caused by heavy rains in some parts of Pakistan. At least 613 people were injured in these incidents.
The National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan has informed this information.
Authorities said 26,732 houses, 40 bridges and several schools were partially or completely damaged across the country due to heavy rains.
The eastern province of Punjab has been worst affected by the rains. There, 123 people lost their lives and 317 people were injured due to heavy rains. In addition, 99 people were killed and 134 injured in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Hot and dry conditions have been experienced in most parts of Pakistan since Thursday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said. It is claimed that the monsoon season will be completely over by Friday.
