Angelina Jolie Shares Images of Devastation in Gaza, Calls for Urgent Aid

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has shared satellite images on social media contrasting Gaza's pre-war state with its current condition. Highlighting the scale of the devastation, she urged for the delivery of emergency shelter, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid to Gaza's civilians before the onset of winter.
Jolie, a former Special Envoy for the UN Refugee Agency, shared "before-and-after" photos of various areas in Gaza on Instagram. In her post, she noted that Gaza's current state is now visible simply by opening Google Earth.
According to her, numerous settlements across Gaza have been reduced to rubble. Essential infrastructure—including homes, educational institutions, hospitals, roads, and water and sanitation systems—has been damaged or destroyed.
Jolie stated that approximately 1.98 million people in Gaza are in need of shelter and essential supplies. However, she pointed out that significant obstacles and delays continue to hinder the delivery of relief aid and shelter materials.
Urging immediate action as winter approaches, Jolie emphasized the critical need to provide adequate shelter for the population. She also called for the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians and ensured the supply of necessary medical equipment to hospitals.
Jolie noted that while satellite images reveal the extent of the physical destruction, they fail to capture the full picture of the personal loss and suffering endured by the people.
In her view, the most important priority now is to ensure that the people of Gaza receive the necessary aid and to create opportunities for rebuilding their homes, schools, hospitals, and communities.
