'Drishyam 3' storm continues, worldwide earnings cross Rs 170 crore in 6 days

The new film of the Malayalam superhit franchise 'Drishyam 3' has received a great response at the box office. In just six days of its release, the film has earned Rs 170.32 crore worldwide.
Released on Mohanlal's birthday on May 21, this thriller directed by Jeethu Joseph crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone in the first three days. After that, it quickly entered the Rs 150 crore club by maintaining a consistent income.
As of six days, the net income of the film in India stands at Rs 68.60 crore. At the same time, Rs 90.70 crore came from the international market. In the last six days alone, the global income has reached the 170 crore mark.
Regional market analysis shows that the highest income has come from Kerala. There, the film grossed about Rs 5.65 crore on the sixth day. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka also contributed significantly.
The Malayalam version also led the way in terms of language performance, with an average occupancy of over 39 percent. The evening and night shows saw relatively high viewership.
According to industry analysts, the strong story, thriller presentation and Mohanlal's performance are playing a key role in making the film a success in the international market as well.
