Actor and presenter Shahriar Nazim Joy has suddenly sparked a new controversy and discussion in the entertainment industry of Bangladesh. Ever since he published a list of the 15 most in-demand actresses of the present on social media, the matter has sparked widespread discussion and criticism on the net.
Joy shared a screenshot of a document on his Facebook account around noon on Thursday (March 5). In that post, he said that the list was prepared based on research to select potential models for an advertisement for a large company that recently came into the market. He mentioned that the company selected the names of the actresses based on market analysis and popularity. Joy also commented that by looking at the list, it is easy to understand which actresses are most in demand in the current entertainment market.
The published list includes the names of many popular stars of the country's cinema and dramas. The list includes Bidya Sinha Mim, Tasnia Farin, Jaya Ahsan, Pori Moni, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Apu Biswas, Nusrat Faria, Shabnam Yasmin Bubly, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Purnima, Puja Cherry, Safa Kabir, Mehazabien Chowdhury, Tanjin Tisha and Shabnam Faria.
Joy also said in her post that the list has a balanced presence of new and old generation artists. Although, according to her, in reality, there may be one or two more in-demand actresses who are not on the list. However, she thinks that this list is enough to understand who is the most talked about and ahead in brand value in the current entertainment market.
Meanwhile, immediately after the publication of Joy's post, mixed reactions were seen on social media. Some are seeing the list as a reflection of reality, while many are raising questions - on what criteria this list was made. As a result, a new discussion has started in the entertainment industry about the popularity, market value and advertising demand of stars.
Although none of the actresses on the list have directly responded to the ongoing debate, netizens are still discussing the issue. Many believe that the publication of this list has once again opened up a new discussion space about the popularity and brand value of stars.
