The world witnessed an unprecedented event in the world of motorcycle stunts. In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a young man named Ahmed Osman has set a 300-meter record by riding a motorcycle while holding the handlebars in his mouth and balancing on the rear wheel. This dangerous stunt is called a ‘wheelie’.
According to a report by Guinness World Records on September 9, the incident took place on July 15. Ahmed wore the necessary protective equipment for the stunt. After making the bike stand almost upright, he held the handlebars tightly and spread his arms to maintain balance. He completed the 300-meter wheelie for about a minute by placing his right foot on the footrest and the other foot on the rear metal rod. Finally, the front wheel was lowered and the bike was safely stopped.
Ahmed said, “I wanted to show the world my talent. Through this record, my talent has reached the world.” He was very focused while doing the wheelie.
There have also been extraordinary records in the history of motorcycle stunts. In 2024, Jonny Davis from the UK set a record of 256 kilometers per hour by riding a fast bike. In addition, Jonny Davis and his colleague Paul Swift set a new record by completing the most ‘wheelie donuts’ in one minute. A wheelie donut is a circular rotation of the bike in a wheelie position, which results in a circular mark on the ground that looks like a donut.
Ahmed’s unique record has spread to the world as a new chapter in motorcycle stunts.
