Late actor Rishi Kapoor was a shining star of Indian cinema. Despite his death, he still holds a place in the hearts of the audience. Recently, on Alia Bhatt's birthday, Rishi Kapoor's words, which he said in praise of Alia before his death, have come into the spotlight again.
Although the Kapoor family has a natural inclination towards films, Rishi Kapoor carved out a separate place due to his acting skills and personality. He often commented on his son Ranbir Kapoor's love life. According to a report published in the Indian media, Neetu Kapoor could not easily accept Ranbir's relationship with Katrina Kaif. However, in the case of Alia Bhatt, the matter was completely different. Neetu Kapoor welcomed Alia warmly, and Rishi Kapoor was also impressed with Alia's acting.
In an interview in 2018, Rishi Kapoor was discussing the current situation of Indian cinema and the skills of young actors. At that time, he was asked which actor or actress impressed him the most. Without hesitation, he mentioned Alia Bhatt. He said,
“An actress like Alia Bhatt should be praised, who has done such challenging roles like ‘Highway’ and ‘Raazi’. At this age, it is very difficult to carry an entire film on one’s shoulders, and only a skilled actress can do it. Besides, one has to have luck to play such a role. Alia is very lucky and her talent is very commendable.”
At that time, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s relationship was in its infancy. After a five-year relationship, the couple tied the knot in 2022, two years after Rishi Kapoor’s death.
