The popular film actress Mishti Jannat has come into the news again with a sensational allegation. She has alleged that she has been receiving death threats from unknown individuals through phone calls and messages multiple times. The actress also claims that she is facing intimidation including extortion demands.

She posted a status on her personal Facebook account on Tuesday night, saying, "Since yesterday, I have been receiving messages and calls from different numbers asking for extortion. They are also threatening to kill me. And if I block them, they are threatening to file a false case from another number." Her post instantly went viral on social media and created a huge reaction among netizens.

In the comment box of that post, many sympathized with her and urged her to take legal action immediately. A person named Zahed Mia commented, "This is a very serious matter, take refuge in the administration." Another wrote, "File a GD at the police station, keep yourself safe." Meanwhile, many have requested to look into the matter seriously and some have said that the criminals should be identified with technical assistance.

Mishti Jannat made her film debut with the movie 'Love Station' released in 2014. Since then, she has acted in several movies including 'Tui Amar', 'Chinibibi', 'Tui Amar Rani'. Although she did not get much commercial success in acting, she achieved stardom through various discussions about her personal life. Apart from acting, Mishti Jannat is also known as a professional doctor.

Allegations of threats, blackmail and extortion against stars are not new in the entertainment industry of Bangladesh. Several stars have also been victims of similar incidents before. Law enforcement agencies say that in cases of crimes such as threats or extortion through digital media, action can be taken according to existing laws including the 'Digital Security Act', but it is very important to have a written complaint from the victim.

At the moment, it is not known whether Mishti Jannat has filed a general diary (GD) with any police station. Concerns have been raised among her fans about the matter. Many believe that ignoring such threats could lead to greater danger in the future.

Finally, it can be said that it is the state's responsibility to ensure the safety of Sweet Paradise, not as a star, but as a citizen. Those concerned are hoping for quick action by the law enforcement agencies on the matter. At the same time, demands have been made from various quarters to identify the culprits in this incident and bring them to justice.
