Urvashi Dholakia is still remembered by the audience as the villain Komalika Basu in the serial 'Kasauti Zindagi Kay'. She was a conspirator on screen, but in real life she herself became a symbol of extreme struggle. In a recent interview, the actress shared about the difficult times in her life.
Urvashi said that she got married at the age of just 16 against the wishes of her family. She had not yet crossed the school threshold. A year later, at the age of just 17, she became a mother of two children. But she was subjected to mental torture right after marriage, which she could not bear and decided to separate after just one year. She was only 18 at that time. It was not easy to take on the challenge of single motherhood at a young age.
She said that separation is always painful. Sometimes the mental pain would increase so much that I would confine myself to my home for a month. I didn't talk to anyone, I just wondered why this happened. But her parents were the biggest strength during this difficult time.
Urvashi says, "I was very young. If my parents weren't there for me, I don't know what I would have done." Urvashi has raised two children, Sagar and Kshitish, as a single mother. Have they ever asked about their father? Urvashi's clear answer to this question is, "No, they have made it clear that they don't want to know anything about it."
