Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' is on its way to release amidst various controversies. Punjab's Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee has accused the film of distorting history. They have demanded a ban on the film in Punjab and have sent a letter to the state's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in this regard. The committee claims that the film can spread intense anger and violence in Punjab if released. They have warned that they will protest against the film if released.

Meanwhile, theater owners in Punjab have decided not to screen the film. Although the Punjab government has not imposed any ban on the film, theater owners are on alert. Protests against the film are increasing on charges of insulting the Sikh community, and the SGPC has expressed fears that the situation will become unstable.

In a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the SGPC has expressed its concerns and demanded action to stop the release of the film 'Emergency' in Punjab. It said that if the film is released, it will create resentment among the Sikh community, which can be dangerous from a patriotic point of view.

Kangana Ranaut plays the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film 'Emergency'.
