Actress Nasrin Akhter Nipun was detained by the immigration police at Sylhet International Airport on Friday morning. Airport Police Station OC Md. Anisur Rahman said that Nipun was released after initial questioning as there was no case against her.
However, actress Nipun denied the allegations and said, "I am at my home in Banani. This news is fake." Since Nipun's detention, it has become the center of discussion in the country, and netizens have been making strong comments about it on social media.
On April 19, the Misha-Dipjol panel won the 2024-26 term election of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association. After that, Nipun and Zayed Khan got into a dispute over regaining their membership in the Film Artists Association.
At that time, Zayed Khan said, "I have no personal problem with Nipun. She has mental problems, otherwise why is she behaving like this?" He added, "It's not right to do this for the sake of the chair of the artist association, to show off your power."
Now, after Nipun's failed attempt to go abroad, Zayed Khan's comment has gone viral on social media. Many netizens shared parts of his comment and said, "Zayed Khan has given hundreds of digs because Nipun went back!"
