New committee of Durgapur Journalists' Association elected: President Koli, Secretary Sajeeb

A new committee has been formed in a festive atmosphere through the biennial election of the Durgapur Journalists' Association in Netrokona. The general election was held at the Durgapur Journalists' Association auditorium on Friday (December 12) afternoon.
Wali Hasan Koli, Upazila Correspondent of Dainik Alokit Bangladesh, has been elected as the President. On the other hand, Durgapur Upazila Correspondent of ST Bangla Television, Shafiqul Alam Sajeeb, has been elected as the General Secretary.
In addition, Palash Saha has been elected as the Organizing Secretary.
Vice President Dentist Maulana Ali Usman (Daily Khola Kagoj Correspondent) has been elected unopposed for two other important positions in the management of the Durgapur Journalists' Association for the next two years
Treasurer: Md. Adnanur Rahman (Daily Alokit Sakal Correspondent)
The convener of the Durgapur Journalists' Association, poet Sajim Shine, member secretary journalist Mamun Ranbir, and member Md. Yasin Mia were responsible for conducting the election smoothly.
Election Steering Committee convener Kabi Sajim Shine said that 13 members exercised their voting rights in this election.
For the post of President: Wali Hasan Koli was elected by getting seven votes. His rival candidate Dilawar Hossain Talukder got five votes. One vote was cancelled.
For the post of General Secretary: Shafiqul Alam Sajeeb was elected by getting eight votes. His rival candidate was Rajesh Gowda, who got five votes.
For the post of Organizing Secretary: Palash Saha was elected by getting nine votes. His rival candidate Nur Alam got four votes.
This newly formed committee will lead the Durgapur Journalists Association for the next two years.
