Royal farewell reception for village police officer Abdul Kader in Tetulia

The royal farewell reception for village police officer Md. Abdul Kader of Shalbahan Union Parishad No. 4 of Tetulia Upazila of Panchagarh has been completed. After a long career of 43 years, he was given this glorious farewell on Monday (December 1) morning at the Union Parishad premises.

The farewell ceremony organized under the chairmanship of Shalbahan Union Parishad Chairman Md. Ashraful Islam was attended by UP member Abu Jafar, member Md. Aleya Begum, UP government officials, village police members and many others. The speakers praised Abdul Kader's honesty, dedication and responsibility in his career.

In his speech, Chairman Ashraful Islam said,
“His entire career was filled with honesty, dedication and sense of responsibility. He used to arrive at the office first every day and would advise the village police members to perform their duties properly on time. For the first time in Panchagarh district, we feel fortunate to bid a royal farewell to a truly dedicated village policeman.”

The special attraction of the program was the royal farewell reception given to Dafadar Abdul Kader in a horse-drawn carriage. Local people, UP members and villagers were present to greet him.

In an emotional moment, the outgoing village police Dafadar Abdul Kader said,
“This moment is the most memorable in my life. I have tried my best to serve the people—I consider this as a responsibility towards my family. Such a respectful farewell is really a great joy. We all should fulfill our duties properly.”

This farewell program, held in recognition of humanity, sense of responsibility and long service, has created a huge response among the locals.
