Golden Jubilee of Panchagarh 18 BGB Battalion, Commemorating Half a Century of Achievements and Glory

The Golden Jubilee of Panchagarh 18 BGB Battalion was celebrated through various programs on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. On Monday (December 1), a day-long event of remembrance, honor and celebration was held at the battalion headquarters.
As part of the day-long program, a discussion meeting and a reception were organized in the afternoon. At this time, the BGB Director General cut a cake and prayed for the future success and progress of the battalion through special prayers.
Additional Director General and North-West Region Rangpur Region Commander Brigadier General ASM Nasher was present as the chief guest at the event. In addition, Thakurgaon Sector Commander Colonel Mohammad Suruj Mia, Panchagarh 18 BGB Battalion Commander Lt. Colonel Abdullah Mohammad Kayes, Panchagarh Deputy Commissioner Kazi Md. Sayemuzzaman, Superintendent of Police Rabiul Islam and officials from various departments were present.
At this time, the speakers highlighted the 50-year glorious journey of 18 BGB, border security, smuggling prevention, humanitarian assistance and the battalion's contribution to the security of the country. At the same time, they expressed their hope for further development of the battalion, enhancement of professional skills and continuity of progress.
This special arrangement of the golden jubilee reminds us that even after half a century, the 18 BGB battalion is still steadfast in protecting the border, unique in discipline and patriotism.
