An allegation has been made against the present sadhus of taking over 160 percent of the land worth 5 crore rupees of the hundred-year-old Sri Sri Nityananda Seva Ashram temple in Madaripur Sadar Upazila. This incident has created anger among the locals. Meanwhile, a devotee in the temple, Dilip Mandal, said with anger, I paid 18 lakhs for the temple, now I see that there is no land in the temple. Not only Dilip Mandal, but many people have been cheated by paying money for the development work of temples like this.

Residents said that out of the total land of 320 percent, Siddha Purush Sri Sri Nityananda alias Nitai Chadan Kshya of West Raghurampur Mauza of Raghurampur village in Chiharchar Union of Sadar Upazila donated 160 percent of the land in the name of traditional Sri Sri Sri Nityananda Seva Ashram Mandir. The remaining 160 percent of the land has been given in the name of his daughter Nanda Rani. After his death, they registered the land of that temple in BRS and came in their own name and registered it with Kalimata property in BRS. Meanwhile the landlord has mentioned the donation in BRS and SA khatian in the name of the temple. According to the terms of the deed no one can take the temple land in his own name. But the sons of the donor's daughter (present saints) claim the temple land by succession. But according to Hindus, sons' descendants are eligible to get land but daughters' descendants are never eligible to get this land. Meanwhile, the saints have taken over the land by insulting the religious people. Meanwhile, they have also sought justice for the embezzler along with recovery of temple land.

Several local people said that the land belongs to the temple, why they will occupy it in their personal name. It is a service organization. Bikash Mallick, Milan Mallick and Shawn Mallick have occupied the temple land demanding the government to recover the land for the temple.

In this regard, Anil Chandra Dariya complained and said, "I along with Bikash Mallick and Shawon Mallick, who occupied the land of this temple in their own name, threatened to kill me for speaking and stopping me. Thousands of devotees and devotees work here. If that land is taken away then where will these devotees go to perform religious activities. So my only demand to the administration and the government is to recover the land of Sri Nityananda Seva Ashram temple from the occupant and make a written deed in the name of the temple then it will be public.

Nitai Chand Kshyapa's grandson and wife Sri Moti Mallik (95) said, Nitai Chand Kshyapa has given 160 percent land to the temple. That land is now occupied by Vikas Mallick and Shaun Mallick. Nitai Kshyapa will get peace of his soul if he gives his temple land to the temple for peace of mind. That's what we want.

Accused Shawon Mallik admitted to occupying the land of the temple and said that the land was not given due to family reasons. After my elder brother Vikas Mallik comes from abroad, we will deed the land to the temple.

Dhiren Mallick, vice-president of Sri Sri Nityananda Seva Ashram temple said, "Anil Chandra Dariya is making these complaints against us because he was not allowed to place his samadhi in this temple.

Madaripur Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Nazmul Islam said, no one has brought any complaint in this regard yet. Legal action will be taken subject to investigation if complaints are received.
