On Friday 25 October Benapole campaign was conducted by the initiative of Jessore district office of National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection. At this time, three companies were fined 6,500 taka. This information has been confirmed in a written notification by Tamanna Tasneem, Assistant Director of Consumer Protection Department.
According to the sources of Consumer Protection Directorate, inspection was conducted in 15 establishments including Benapole Check Post Bazar, Kachha Bazar, Rajnigandhya Cold Store and Sena Kalyan Cold Storage on Friday afternoon. Use of product packaging etc., sale of expired medicines, display of price list are monitored. Chania Medical Store was fined 2 thousand taka, Rokeya Medical was fined 4 thousand taka and Dewan Store was fined 500 taka.
