His younger brother Noor Islam vandalized and occupied his elder brother's business shop opposite the Gazipur Gate No. 6 of land port in Benapole, Jessore, defying the court order. There is tension about this.
It is known that for 35 years elder brother Mahe Alam was running a business by building a shop in his mother's property. Before his mother Amena Begum passed away recently, the property was distributed among their 5 brothers through Heba in the name of 5 sons including 5 shop premises along with the road and access road to the house for living. Mahe Alam has never faced any problem despite running the business at the same place for a long time. During the regime of the previous Awami League government, when the land acquisition plan for the implementation of the Asian Highway project was going on, suddenly Mahe Alam's younger brother Noor Islam demanded to move the shop house to another place, claiming it as his own.
Later, Mahe Alam sued the local dignitaries and the municipality to resolve the problem, but as the problem was not resolved, Mahe Alam filed a civil case in Jessore Joint Judge Court. whose number is 161/21. While the civil case is pending in the court, Mahe Alam appealed to the Additional District Magistrate's Court for injunction against the shop when several terrorists tried to vandalize and occupy the shop. His younger brother Noor Islam demolished the entire shop early Friday morning after being calm for a few days when the ban was enforced by the Additional District Magistrate's court through section 144/145. Mahe Alam's son Imran Hossain lodged a complaint with the Benapole Port Police Station seeking legal assistance for vandalizing shops while the court ban was in effect.
Mahe Alam's elder son Imran Hossain said that because my uncle was traveling with local terrorists, he ambushed us at different times with the intention of occupying the shop. Finally yesterday morning the shop house was completely demolished. We informed the police about this matter and applied to the court for full possession and repair of the shop house, we want to get the shop house legally.
In this regard, Mahe Alam's other 3 brothers Shahjahan, Ruhul Amin and Abdul Khalek said that our mother gave each of us a shop house and a homestead land equally by dividing them all. Our younger brother Noor Islam is unfairly demeaning the elder brother and depriving him of his due property.
When Noor Islam was contacted in this regard, he refused to speak to the journalists.
In this regard, Benapole Port Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Suman Bhakta said, "I have received complaints of shop vandalism while the court ban is ongoing. Legal action will be taken after proper investigation.
