Islami University is the first public university established in Bangladesh after independence. When you see the floor of this university, such a rhythm comes to mind without your knowledge. The location of these banyan trees is between the university's faculty building and the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology. Apart from this, pita festivals, book fairs and sports of various categories make the atmosphere lively. Also, under the shadow of the banyan tree, the writings of Bangladesh Tarun Column Writers Forum, an organization of writers, displayed the writings of all the young generation writers published in the country's renowned newspapers.
Another voluntary organization Youth Library Festival every Wednesday makes Battala more vibrant. Where students can collect and read their favorite books. Under the initiative of EB Sahitya Sangsad, the weekly reading cycle is conducted around this banyan tree with the aim of practicing intellectual knowledge and rational thinking. Where literature, economic, political, philosophy, history, world literature, contemporary context are discussed openly. Which makes the traditional basket of battala more rich.
Nature lovers sit in the Battala square to enjoy the sweet sun of the winter morning. Beneath the sweet sun, the rocky hills pass through banyan trees endlessly. The banyan tree is the center of love in the campus.
