Bank Commission should be formed soon

The country's economy now faces a huge challenge. In particular, the loss of the banking sector has been going on for a long time. It will take time to fix. A bank commission needs to be done soon. Even if not commissioned, at least one group of local and foreign experts can be formed.
And there is nothing new to say about the need to reform the financial sector. The National Board of Revenue (NBR) needs to be overhauled. Even if the tax-GDP rate can be increased from 4 to 6 percent, we will not have to borrow so much for the deficit budget. Besides, it is necessary to give economic independence to local government institutions. The government will help the city corporation, district, upazila and union parishads. They may also have the power to impose taxes. Of course it should be done innocently. If you are a well-known person or an influential person, the tax is lower, this should not happen. They should also be accountable. In short, the relationship between the central government and the local government should not only be political but also economic.
Macroeconomics is in trouble. To fix this corruption must first be stopped. The rule of law must be established. Contractionary monetary policy is in place, in a sense it is good. Now the interim government will come. We welcome It will not be right for the interim government to look for who did Awami League and who did BNP. This mistake was made by the government of one-eleven. Economic policy measures should be taken to eliminate crony capitalism. And the health sector should be accelerated. US$ 500-600 crore goes abroad every year due to poor medical system.
Although the government has changed, nothing has changed in Bangladesh Bank. They can work if they want. Actually leadership is a big thing. For example, Bangladesh Bank has many powers, but they do not implement them. They look to the Prime Minister's office for a decision. A rare opportunity arose as the government changed through the anti-discrimination student movement. The way to create a truly democratic country is paved. I want to thank them. Hopefully, the economic leadership will use the opportunity.
Also, I would like to say that the time has come to stop students from party politics. Students will be a non-political force. Abul Mal Abdul Muhitara once became the VP of the hall. Good students once did politics. Bring back that day.
