The Nazmul Hasan Papon chapter has ended in Bangladesh cricket. He officially resigned today (Wednesday). After that Farooq Ahmed got the responsibility as the 15th board president of the country. The former captain held a press conference after taking charge. Mirpur Sher-e spoke on many issues in the press conference room of Bengal.
The new board president praised one of his favorite cricketers. Bangladesh's leg-spinner Rishad Hossain caught the attention of the whole world by bowling brilliantly in the last Twenty20 World Cup. Which did not escape Farooq Ahmed's eyes. That's why Farooq spoke separately about Rishad on the first day of taking charge.
BCB president said, 'I will ask one question, I think Rishad is a good cricketer. But he can play the longer version very well. (In group formation) there will be such suggestions. I think this boy has impressed me very well.'
He also said, "I think the boy managed to turn with top spin and arm ball in the last T20 World Cup." That's why I think he can play in Test match or HP....(team). I don't know whether he went to play in the 'A' team or not. Leg spinners at any other level have to bowl a lot. That's why there is such a suggestion.
22-year-old Rishad is currently the regular face of the Bangladesh T20 team. He has taken 29 wickets in 24 international matches in the format so far. Apart from this, he played three ODI matches, where he took one wicket. Maybe Rishad can be seen in Test after T20 and ODI. The BCB president's statement is similar!
