Zinedine Zidane's son Luca named in World Cup squad

Algeria has announced its final 26-member squad ahead of the upcoming World Cup. Luca Zidane, the son of French football legend Zinedine Zidane, has been named in the team. Despite missing out on the last two World Cups, Algeria are set to play their fifth World Cup.
Riyad Mahrez will captain the team. He is currently one of Algeria's most experienced players and the mainstay of the team's attack.
Spanish club Granada CF goalkeeper Luca Zidane has been named as one of the three goalkeepers in the squad. Although he was born in France, he is eligible for Algerian citizenship through his grandparents. He has been representing Algeria since last year after playing for the French age group.
Midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has returned to the team announced by coach Vladimir Petkovic. In addition, Hossein Aouar and Amin Guerri have been given a chance to return to the team after recovering from injuries.
Algeria's opponents in Group J of the World Cup are Argentina, Austria and Jordan. Algeria will start their World Cup campaign with a match against Argentina on June 16.
The announced squad includes goalkeepers Oussama Benbot, Melvin Marstil and Luca Zidane. Defense includes Ashraf Abada, Ryan Ait-Nouri, Zinedine Belaid, Rafik Belghali, Rami Bensebeni, Samir Chergui, Jaouen Hadjam, Aissa Mandi and Mohamed Amin Tugai. Midfield includes Hossein Aouar, Nabil Bentaleb, Hisham Budaoui, Fares Shaibi, Ibrahim Maja, Yassin Titraoui and Ramil Jerouchi. And in the attack, Riyad Mahrez, Mohamed Amin Amora, Nadir Benbouali, Adil Boulbina, Fares Ghezedis, Amin Gueri and Anis Haj Moussa will be there.
