Only three league matches have been completed. It is not possible to say for sure who will win this year's English Premier League title. However, there is an opportunity to speculate or predict. And if it comes from world football star Kylian Mbappe, then it will undoubtedly be of special importance.
In a recent interview with the German newspaper Bild, Mbappe mentioned the names of his favorite teams. He has put one team ahead of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City for the title this time.
Mbappe first gave his opinion on the current champion Liverpool. He said,
"Of course, Liverpool's name will come first. They are exceptionally ready to win the title consistently."
However, the French forward did not stop there. He also sees Arsenal as equally likely. Mbappe said,
“I also have high hopes for Arsenal. Because the core players of the team have been playing together for a long time, which is very important in football.”
He is also cautious about Manchester City. Mbappe believes that the team is always one of the title contenders with Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland.
However, when asked to choose a specific team as the favorite, he leaned slightly towards Arsenal.
“It’s a difficult question… Maybe Arsenal. Maybe this is their year. It’s easy to say City or Liverpool, but I think Arsenal also have great potential.”
The Real Madrid star gave his opinion not only on the Premier League, but also on the Champions League. According to him, Real Madrid should always be considered the favorite in European competitions. However, this time the competition will be more intense due to the new format.
We'll have to wait until the end of the season to find out if Mbappe's prediction comes true, but the star-studded opinion has already added a new dimension to the discussion among football fans.
