Rangpur Riders defeated Dhaka Capitals by a big margin in the Sylhet phase of the BPL. As a result, Rangpur won five consecutive matches in the tournament. On the other hand, Dhaka lost four consecutive matches.
Rangpur Riders defeated Dhaka Capitals by a big margin of 7 wickets at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in the Bangladesh Premier League on Tuesday. This is the fifth consecutive win for Rangpur, who are moving ahead at a fast pace.
Chasing 112 runs, Rangpur did not get off to a good start. Azizul Hakim Tamim, who was called up in his first two matches in the BPL, got 5 runs today.
Later, Saif Hasan was dismissed for 13 runs, but the rest of the work of the victory was done by two Pakistani batsmen Khushdil Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed. Khushdil remained unbeaten on 27 runs and Iftikhar remained unbeaten on 9 runs.
Earlier, Jason Roy opened with Habibur Rahman Sohan in search of victory. The two of them scored the team's highest partnership of 28 runs.
However, after being dismissed for 18 runs, Dhaka lost wickets one after another and stood in ruins. There was doubt whether the team would be able to score 100 runs after losing 6 wickets in 74 runs. However, in the end, they were able to score 111 runs thanks to Alauddin Babu's 16 and Mosaddek Hossain Saikat's 12 runs, who was called up for this year's BPL yesterday.
Pacer Nahid Rana took 3 wickets for 21 runs for Rangpur. Two Pakistani bowlers, Aqib and Khushdil Shah, took two wickets each.
