Shakib Al Hasan faced doubts about his bowling action while playing a Division One match of the Championship in English County. The two umpires in charge of the match expressed doubts about his action. To clear that doubt, the former world's best all-rounder had to undergo a bowling action test.
In his long 18-year career, he has never faced any question about his bowling action. This time, due to such a doubt, Shakib had to undergo a bowling action test at the medical department of Loughborough University in Birmingham, England on Monday. Shakib had to bowl a total of four overs in front of experts there. Although he is optimistic about his bowling action. For the first time, such questions were raised against this all-rounder last September, in a match of the County Championship Division. Shakib played only one match for Surrey against Somerset. In that match, he bowled 63 overs in two innings and took 9 wickets. This was his first match in the county since the 2011-12 season. Almost two months after the match, it was revealed early last month that two of the match umpires had expressed doubts about Shakib's bowling action at that time. And that is why Shakib Al Hasan had to face this test.
