Football tournament in memory of Abu Saeed in EB

The Shahid Abu Saeed Memorial Football Tournament has started at Islami University (EB) in memory of Abu Saeed, who was killed in anti-apartheid student movement. This tournament was organized by the students of Saddam Hossain Hall with 8 inter-block teams. On Saturday (September 28) at 4:30 PM, the game between Dhansindi and Swadathan team started. Before this, the tournament was launched.

Coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement EB SM Sweet, President of University Press Club Manjurul Islam Nahid, General Secretary of Journalist Association Tajmul Haque Zaim and hundreds of players and students were present at the inauguration ceremony.
A total of 8 teams participated in the tournament. The teams are - Arunodaya, Kannikalaya, Inkilab, Swapnil, Freedom, Dhansindi, Vijay 2.0 and Prayas. The guests said, "Such an arrangement by the students with the aim of building mutual harmony and brotherhood is commendable. We hope that everyone will make this arrangement a success with the mentality of giving concessions. Because earlier we have seen that the final game was postponed due to mutual conflict from the university administration in such arrangements. So we To send a message to the administration by participating in an orderly manner that the game can be successfully completed by the students.
