The Savar Municipal Farmers' Party has started the formal election campaign for BNP's nominated candidate for Dhaka-19 constituency Dr. Dewan Mohammad Salauddin Babu. The campaign began on Sunday afternoon from the Imandipur area of the Savar municipality.
Savar representative Anisur Rahman said that the leaders and activists of the Municipal Farmers' Party, led by Abdul Mannan, president of the Municipal Farmers' Party, took to the field from 4 pm. During this time, they distributed leaflets to the houses of businessmen, pedestrians and local residents and sought votes for the paddy sheaf symbol. People from different classes and professions spontaneously participated in the campaign.
During the campaign, Abdul Mannan, president of the Municipal Farmers' Party, said that they are getting a huge response from the common people. He also expressed hope that the people are in favor of change. He further said that equal importance is being given not only to the field-level campaign, but also to online and social media-based campaigns to quickly deliver the party's message to the people.
He said that if BNP comes to power through the election, strict action will be taken against those involved in drugs, terrorism, extortion and footpath encroachment. At the same time, he also gave a strong message that people involved in extortion and terrorist activities will not be able to hold any position in the party.
Local leaders, activists and supporters of BNP and its affiliates, including the Municipal Farmers' Party, were present during the campaign. They reiterated their commitment to remain united in the field for the symbol of the sheaf of rice.
