Chhatra Dal's humanitarian initiative in Savar: Distribution of blankets among cold-stricken people

Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal has organized a blanket distribution program in Savar to stand by the helpless people affected by the severity of the winter. This winter clothing distribution program was organized by BNP's organizational guardian Tarique Rahman. This program was held on Wednesday at the Dogarmora Matribagan Mosque ground in the municipal area at the initiative of Savar Municipal Chhatra Dal leader Taj Khan Naeem.
Blankets were directly handed over to the cold-stricken and distressed people at the program. When the life of the common people has become miserable due to the bitter cold, this humanitarian initiative of Chhatra Dal has conveyed a message of relief and hope among the locals. Helpless people of different ages participated in the program and expressed satisfaction after receiving the winter clothing.
Former councilor and Ward No. 7 BNP leader Mohammad Ali Khan was present as the chief guest at the blanket distribution program. Former Joint General Secretary of Dhaka District BNP Lion Khorshed Alam, Dhaka District Chhatra Dal President Tamiz Uddin Tanvir, General Secretary Mahfuz Iqbal and Ward No. 7 Councilor candidate Yunus Khan were present as special guests. Local BNP and Chhatra Dal leaders and activists also participated in the program.
The speakers said that it is the moral and humane responsibility of all in society to stand by the helpless and poor people during the winter season. They said that Chhatra Dal is not limited to political activities only, but also wants to stand by the people through social and humanitarian work. They expressed hope that various social initiatives including distribution of winter clothes will continue in the future.
The locals welcomed this initiative of Chhatra Dal and said that such humanitarian activities of political organizations send a positive message to the society and alleviate the suffering of helpless people to some extent.
