End of nomination drama in Narail-1 constituency: B. M. Nagib Hossain and Milton Mollah's candidacies are valid

The nomination papers of the two candidates who were suspended in Narail-1 constituency for the upcoming 13th National Parliament election have finally been declared valid. After submitting the necessary documents and verifying them, the District Returning Officer declared independent candidate B. M. Nagib Hossain and Jatiya Party candidate Md. Milton Mollah as valid candidate.
According to the office of the Narail Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer, after the verification of the nomination papers on Saturday (January 3) morning, the District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam first announced to temporarily suspend the nomination papers of these two candidates. Later, in the afternoon of the same day, when the necessary documents and information were presented, their nomination papers were declared valid as everything was satisfactory.
As a result, the number of valid candidates contesting the National Assembly elections in Narail-1 constituency has increased to five. According to the latest list, the valid candidates are BNP nominee Biswas Jahangir Alam, Jamaat-e-Islami nominee Obaidullah Kaiser, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish nominee Md. Abdur Rahman, Jatiya Party nominee, Md. Milton Mollah and independent candidate B. M. Nagib Hossain.
Political stakeholders believe that the competition in the election field in Narail-1 constituency will intensify further with the declaration of the nominations as valid. The candidates will fully engage in the election campaign after the allocation of symbols in the coming days.
