The leaders of the Chhatrashibir-backed ‘Unified Students’ Alliance’ panel that won the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections offered prayers and munajat in memory of the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War and the July Uprising.
This Thursday morning, the newly elected leaders first visited the graveyard of the martyrs of the July Uprising in Rayerbazar in the capital and paid their respects. After this, they reached the Martyred Intellectuals’ Memorial and prayed for the forgiveness of the martyrs’ souls.
DUCSU’s newly elected Vice President (VP) Abu Sadiq Kayem said, “Our main task is to fulfill the aspirations and expectations of the martyrs. We want to start this from Dhaka University. Students can ask us questions at any time; our job is to work.”

Earlier, in the DUCSU elections held on Tuesday, the ‘Unified Students’ Alliance’ panel of Chhatra Shibir achieved a huge victory. The panel’s candidates won 23 out of 28 posts, including VP, GS, AGS.
