November 21 is Bangladesh Armed Forces Day. Voice of Consensus Citizen (VCC) Chairperson Mohammad Golam Mostafa Bhuiya extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to all members of the Army, Navy and Air Force on Armed Forces Day commemorating the march of Bangladesh's great freedom struggle and victory.
In a greeting message sent to the media on the occasion of 'November 21 Bangladesh Armed Forces Day' on Wednesday (November 20), he said, "The patriotic armed forces are a symbol of our pride and unity." We will never be able to repay the debt of their sacrifice during the liberation war in 1971. I pray for the peace of the souls of all the brave martyrs of the special armed forces who gave their lives in the great struggle of 71 with deep love. Happy Armed Forces Day to all the freedom fighters and every member of this force.
He said, "The glory of Bangladesh Armed Forces is not limited only to the war of independence. The post-independence period continues to contribute equally to Bangladesh. The glorious role of armed forces in the international world has honored Bangladesh. Working in the United Nations peacekeeping mission not only brought peace to those countries, but also brought revolutionary changes in the socio-economic field including rehabilitation. For which international organizations including the United Nations have praised the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
He also said, "The members of the armed forces are shining the image of the country in the international environment by performing their duties with devotion in the peacekeeping activities of the United Nations." Thus the armed forces today have become a symbol of the nation's confidence. The dedication and sincerity of the armed forces in carrying out the difficult duties entrusted to the needs of the nation is unique. The patriotism of our armed forces is based on these two things: training for the defense of the country and love for the people.
VCC Chairperson said, "Having a well-educated and professional armed force is one of the conditions for protecting freedom and sovereignty." In keeping with today's changing world, the meditation concept of the three forces must be modernized. Because our armed forces are participating in UN peacekeeping missions in different countries of the world. The importance of celebrating Armed Forces Day is immense in continuing this trend and promoting the spirit of the Liberation War and the July August People's Uprising and above all in dealing with disasters.
