Truck fire in front of Tongi police station gate

A fire broke out in a dumping truck in front of the main gate of Tongi East police station in Gazipur. This incident of fire happened on Monday (August 19) morning.
According to the police, a dumping truck (Dhakametto-T-18-2244) caught fire in the morning in front of the police station gate. Later the fire service came and extinguished the fire. By then, the front part of the truck was burnt. But no one could say how the fire started.
Senior Station Officer of Tongi Fire Service, Abu Mohammad Sajedul Kabir Joardar, said that two fire service units reached the spot around 8:30 after receiving information about the fire in front of Tongi East Police Station and tried to bring the fire under control for about half an hour. There were no casualties.
Officer-in-charge of Tongi East police station Rafiul Karim confirmed the truth of the incident and said that it is not yet known how the fire started. Investigation is going on in this regard.
