It was past 11 o'clock. One or two officials were still coming to the office in the heart of the administration, the Secretariat. Some officials' offices were still empty, they did not come. However, most of the officers and employees have come to the office. But there is no work even after coming to the office. They are passing the time by talking among themselves about the existing situation of the country. But fear is in the eyes of many. The pictures of the resigned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have been taken down from the rooms of various office heads.
This is the image of Tuesday in the heart of the administration Secretariat. Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister on Monday in the face of a round of protests for the government's resignation. Now the process of forming the interim government to run the country has started. It can happen nowadays.
In this situation today, the image of the Secretariat has changed. There is no familiar form. When I went to the Cabinet Department, Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Law, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, many officials-employees had a look of fear on their faces. Naturally, after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina's government, the ministers did not come again. However, several secretaries held office.
It was found in the Ministry of Law, that the nameplate of Minister Anisul Haque has been removed. When asked, an official of his office said that he did not know who deleted it.
In the room of an official of another office, it was found that there is no picture of the resigned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. However, the picture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is hung.
On this day, the pictures of Bangabandhu and Sheikh Hasina and other banners and festoons were removed from various walls.
Officials say that there is practically no government now. As a result, they did not receive any instructions today. Govt works, so came to office.
Government office from 9 am to 5 pm. But in the existing situation, the officers and employees left the office at around 12 noon today. At that time, some officials and employees said that today has become an 'auto holiday' in the existing situation.
