Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon said that he personally is not in favor of online classes, but if we want to move forward in line with the current global reality, there is no alternative to the digital education system.

He said, "I don't want online classes either, but the world wants them. We also have to move forward in that direction."

He said these things after exchanging views with the central secretaries of Sylhet division on the occasion of the SSC and equivalent examinations on Wednesday (April 15).

The Education Minister also said that the energy crisis caused by the ongoing war in the Middle East has also affected the education system. Due to this, in many cases, classes have to be conducted online and offline, which is also being criticized.

He said that he has held discussions with various stakeholders on the instructions of the Prime Minister. In this, teachers, headmasters, students and guardians of about 700-800 schools were exchanged. None of them expressed their opinion in favor of online classes.

He also spoke about the initiative to bring coaching centers under the law. The Education Minister also mentioned the plan to bring English medium schools under government control.
