Sadiq Qayem leads the siege of the Home Affairs Advisor's office, police obstruct

The program to surround the Home Affairs Advisor's office, demanding the arrest of those involved in the shooting and assassination attempt on Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, the recovery of all illegal weapons in a nationwide drive, and the arrest of terrorists from banned parties, has faced police obstruction.

The program began in front of the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) office at around 12:15 pm today, Monday. The participating students set off towards the Home Ministry. DUCSU VP Abu Sadiq Qayem is leading the program to surround the Home Affairs Advisor's office. Later, a delegation led by him went to the Secretariat to meet the Home Affairs Advisor.

Earlier, at around 1:20 pm, the students came to the Doel Chattar of Dhaka University and faced police obstruction. Then they broke the barricade and moved forward.

Then the students reached in front of the High Court Mazar. At 1:23 PM, they faced police obstruction again and again broke the barricade and moved forward.

At 1:27 PM, they faced police obstruction on the road leading to the Secretariat adjacent to the Education Building and took up positions there and raised various slogans.

A 10-member delegation led by Sadiq Qayem left for the Home Affairs Advisor's office at around 1:45 PM.

Earlier, DUCSU's Literary and Cultural Secretary Musaddiq Ali Ibn Mohammad called for a program to surround the Home Affairs Advisor's office yesterday, Sunday. He urged the students to participate in this program spontaneously.
