Country's highest 117-foot flagstand inaugurated in Banglabandha on November 1

The Tetulia administration has completed all preparations to inaugurate the country's highest 117-foot flagstand on the Banglabandha border in Tetulia upazila of Panchagarh. The flagstand will be officially inaugurated on Saturday (November 1) afternoon by Deputy Commissioner and learned Executive Magistrate Md. Sabet Ali.
The flagstand has been constructed at a cost of around Tk 30 lakh. Invitations have already been distributed to the guests invited to participate in the inauguration ceremony.
A festive atmosphere prevails throughout the area around the inauguration ceremony organized by the Tetulia upazila administration. Locals said that the people of Panchagarh have been demanding the installation of such a permanent and dignified flagstand for a long time.
In this regard, Tetulia Upazila Executive Officer Afroz Shahin Khasru said, "Our national flag will fly proudly in the free sky of independent Bengal every day at Banglabandha Zero Point. It will remain a symbol of our national pride."
Locals have expressed hope that the inauguration of this flagstand adjacent to Banglabandha Land Port will open up new horizons of beauty and national dignity of the border area.
