16 killed in Mirpur fire: Tarique Rahman's condolences

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed deep shock over the death of 16 workers in a terrible fire at a factory in the Shialbari area of Rupnagar, Mirpur.
In a post published on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday (October 14), he prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Tarique Rahman mentioned in the post that repeated such heartbreaking accidents leave us with deep sorrow and questions. He said, "We must ensure workplace safety and insist on operating factories according to rules so that no more lives are lost."
He also said that the concerned authorities must take prompt and transparent steps to investigate and identify those responsible. He also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
The BNP Acting Chairman commented that it is now very important to ensure the safety of workers to set an example in social and moral responsibility in this incident.
