There is no tension between the army and the interim government: Army Headquarters

The Bangladesh Army has said that they do not have any tension or disagreement with the current interim government. However, they will always maintain an uncompromising position in the interest of the country and the nation. This statement was made at a press briefing held at the Dhaka Army Headquarters on Monday (May 26). Senior army officials were present at the briefing and made this statement in response to various rumors and misleading information of recent times.
The army said, "The Bangladesh Army is a professional force. We believe in full loyalty to the constitution and the state. No matter what the type of government, we have been performing our duties according to the constitution and will continue to do so in the future." In addition, protesting against some misleading information spread about the army on social media in recent times, it was said that such rumors are purposeful and an attempt to destroy the stability of the state.
The briefing also said that the army is ready to make the highest sacrifice to protect the sovereignty, security and stability of the country. The army is performing its duties with professionalism out of its responsibility and love for the people. The officials present at the press conference urged the citizens not to listen to misleading information and propaganda and to behave responsibly.
Recently, due to the tension in the political arena of the country and the various activities of the interim government, some quarters have been spreading various rumors about the army. In the wake of these rumors, the army headquarters issued this official statement, which is basically a manifestation of peaceful stance and professionalism.
