'National Youth Power' launches: Convener Tariqul, Member Secretary Zahidul

'The youth wing of the National Citizen Party (NCP) launched its youth wing 'National Youth Power' with the theme 'Youth's determination for a dignified Bangladesh and a new settlement' in mind. The organization's convening committee was announced at a program organized at Abrar Fahad Avenue in Gulistan in the capital on Friday (May 16) afternoon.
Advocate Md. Tariqul Islam has been appointed as the convener of this new platform and Dr. Zahidul Islam has been appointed as the member secretary. Jatiya Nagorik Party Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari announced their names at the program.
Engineer Farhad Sohel was also announced as the main organizer of the committee. It is learned that the convening committee of 'National Youth Power' will be a large group of 131 members, who will lead the organization's activities in the coming days.
The inauguration ceremony began with the national anthem and recitation of the Quran. Then, various documentaries on the July Uprising were shown on stage. The message of political awareness and activism was conveyed to the youth through the performance of slogans and songs of that time.
The organizers said that 'National Youth Power' will work to awaken patriotism, leadership and social responsibility among the youth. The leaders also expressed their conviction that they will be vocal in favor of democratic consciousness and civil rights.
