Dhaka, February 14: Industry and Public Works Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan said that the government wants to restore the rights of the people of the country. He said that discussions on reforms with political parties will begin next Saturday (February 15). He said, "Fascism will not be able to rise again in the new system."
He made these comments after paying tribute to the martyrs of the movement to overthrow the dictatorship at the Shiksha Chattar in front of the High Court on Friday (February 14) morning.
At that time, leaders and activists of BNP, Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, Anti-Sovereignty Chhatra Parishad, 82-90 Chhatra Andolan, Biplobi Chhatra Maitree, 90's DUCSU Sarbadaliya Chhatra Oikya and Pahari Chhatra Front, and various organizations paid tribute to the martyrs.
Meanwhile, BNP Chairperson's political advisor Aman Ullah Aman said that the movement to overthrow the dictatorship of 1990 and 2024 is connected. He called on all political parties to stand united against the conspiracy.
It is worth noting that on February 14, 1983, students protested against the education policy of the Ershad government. Jafar, Joynal, Deepali, Mozammel, Ayub and Kanchan were killed in police firing. As a result of that movement, the education policy was canceled, and since that day, February 14 has been celebrated as the Anti-Dictatorship Day.
