On Wednesday (February 12), Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus visited the secret prison and torture cell of the previous Awami government, known as the Mirror House. After going there, he said, what happened here is unimaginable.

He also said that they have heard horrific descriptions from the mouths of those who have been tortured here. Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus: “Those who have been tortured, those who have been victims of this, are also here with us, I have heard from their mouths how it happened. There is no explanation.”

The chief advisor said that the previous government had introduced torture cells all over the country, which were a sign of the era of ignorance. This was a reflection of the country's extreme degradation.

Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus: "Such torture cells are all over Bangladesh. The previous government has established the era of ignorance in every field. This is an example of that."

The chief advisor was accompanied by Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Advisor Professor Asif Nazrul, Environment Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Housing and Public Works Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan, Information Advisor Md. Nahid Islam and Local Government Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan.

At that time, after the movement was lifted last July, the room in which Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan and Md. They identified the places where Nahid Islam was kept.

The advisors have demanded an investigation into such detention centers across the country.
