A delegation of six people, who are agitating for the rights of expatriate workers, went to meet Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus at his residence in Jamuna. On Monday afternoon, police members of Ramna Zone took them to Jamuna. The delegation includes Khaled Saifullah, Mir Rajib, Mizanur Rahman, Yasin Apurba, Naeem and Mainuddin.
Earlier, the protesters started their journey towards Jamuna from Bangla Motor Intersection at 10:30 am. However, when they reached Intercontinental Intersection, the police stopped them.
Later, they stayed there for more than an hour. Finally, senior police officers of Ramna Zone came and spoke to them and assured them.
"We have been agitating for fair rights for a long time. We held a press conference at the Press Club on February 7 and gave the government a 48-hour ultimatum. But no effective action has been taken yet."
