Civil Aviation Authority's Superintendent Engineer Habibur Rahman, who was known as a big leader of the Awami League, is currently going through a difficult time due to corruption allegations. After the student-public movement, he introduced himself as an opponent of the Awami League and appeared in various places as a BNP supporter. His workplace, the Civil Aviation Authority, is also being discussed and criticized for his performance.

In the last 15 years, Habibur Rahman has enjoyed various privileges and benefits from an important position in the Civil Aviation Authority, but allegations of corruption have been raised against him. Currently, an investigation is underway against him in the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). It is learned that after being appointed as the Chief Engineer in the Civil Aviation Authority on November 28, airport development work has stalled in many areas.

Meanwhile, due to incompetence, corruption and eccentricity, the ACC advised Habibur Rahman not to give responsibility to any important department in the Civil Aviation Authority, but it was not implemented. Habibur Rahman, known as a close aide of former Secretary of the Ministry of Aviation and Tourism, Mohibul Haque, has been accused of corruption at various times. He is accused of embezzling money after being promoted from Flight Safety to Chief Engineer.

Various irregularities have been alleged in Habibur Rahman's career. In 2002, he was transferred for misbehaving with people while serving as Chief Security Officer at Chittagong Airport. He was also punished in 2005, 2009, and 2011 for irregularities.

Currently, various development activities of Bebichak have come to a standstill and with this, allegations of various conspiracies are also being raised. The newly appointed chairman, Air Vice Marshal Md. Manjur Kabir Bhuya, has said that the allegations will be investigated and action will be taken accordingly.

When contacted, Habibur Rahman did not respond to phone calls.
