Security beefed up at Kakrail Mosque and DMCH areas

Police and RAB have beefed up security at Kakrail Mosque and Dhaka Medical College Hospital areas following clashes between two groups over the occupation of Tongi's Ijtema Maidan.
Ramna Zone DC Masud Alam said that sufficient police have been deployed in Kakrail Mosque and the surrounding areas. The police are ready to deal with any untoward situation. In addition, 4 platoons of BGB were deployed in Tongi following clashes between Tablighi Jamaat's Zobayers and Sadpanti supporters. BGB Public Relations Officer Md. Shariful Islam gave this information on Wednesday morning.
The death toll in the clash between two groups at Tongi's Bishwa Ijtema Maidan has risen to three. Media Coordinator Habibullah Raihan confirmed the matter.
