Deep grief and respect for veteran journalist Sanath Nandi

Today, September 24, Tuesday at 1 pm, veteran journalist Sanath Nandi will not be able to get to Anantaloke. Journalists expressed deep grief over his death.

He was seriously ill for a few days and was under treatment first at Dhaka's Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and later at Bardem.
For three decades, he has worked as a news editor of Dhaka's "Dainik Khabar" newspaper. The unassuming Sanat Nandi Custier was the well-known face of art-culture-civic social movements. He was a life member of National Press Club and Dhaka Reports Unity. It was his initiative and efforts that started the Kushtia Journalist Forum in Dhaka. At the time of his death, Sanat Nandi left behind a son and a wife. His younger brother Sujit Nandi is also in the journalism profession. Sanath Nandi's cremation has been performed at Postgola Mahasmashan.
