I was not the 'mastermind' of the movement, a campaign is going on against me said the chief advisor of the interim government. Special Assistant to Muhammad Yunus Mahfuz Alam.
He said that I am being made a 'mastermind' by the Indian media and BAL's propaganda cell. It is being said that I was associated with the politics of Hizb ut Tahrir, Jamaat-e-Islami and student camps. But I was never with their politics. I was not 'advantaged' or 'disadvantaged' like Tamirul Millat or other camp workers of DU. But Islamophobia and camp tagging are given on campus.
Mahfuz posted a status on his personal Facebook page on Saturday. Long has clarified his political ideology and current position in student life in this post. Mahfuz Alam confirmed his status to More News.
Mahfuz Alam said, I was not associated with Islamic student camp in Dhaka University. I did not participate in their political activities. I was invited to their program in my first year of university, but I was not convinced of their ideological vision for Bangladesh.
I did not and still do not accept Jamaat Islam literally. Therefore, I was not 'advantaged' or 'disadvantaged' like Tamirul Millat or other Shibir workers of DU. But Islamophobia and camp tagging have to be faced on campus.
