Due to the attack on the doctors, the doctors of Dhaka Medical College held a shutdown program. On Sunday afternoon, the health and family welfare ministry advisor Noorjahan Begum and DMEC director informed the doctors about the withdrawal of the program.
Although the agitating doctors claim, the authorities informed the media about the withdrawal of the program without completing the discussion with them.
Dr. Neurosurgeon, spokesperson of the agitating doctors. Abdul Ahad said that the number of doctors who will perform duties in DM will not return to work unless they are provided with as many security personnel. And we will not return to routine work if the doctor's protection law is not passed within the next seven days.
