Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched missile attacks on Israel's Nevatim and Tel Nof air bases. The attacks were carried out very recently on Monday (June 8), the organization said.
The IRGC claimed that Israel had recently carried out airstrikes on various parts of Iran, including Tehran, Tabriz and Isfahan, and southern Lebanon. The counter-missile attacks were carried out in response.
The Israeli military said that multiple missiles were fired from Iran, which caused warning sirens to sound across the country. However, there were no reports of major casualties so far.
The IRGC also said that the attacks on Israeli radars and military installations were part of defending their sovereignty.
International analysts believe that the incident has increased tensions in the Middle East and raised the risk of a major conflict.
