Tensions have risen again in southern Lebanon due to Hezbollah's fierce attacks and resistance against Israeli forces. Several Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers have been killed and many others injured in the recent clashes. At the same time, there have been reports of damage to armored vehicles and military equipment.
Sources said that when Israeli forces tried to enter the important border towns of Bint Jbeil, Kantara and Bayadah, Hezbollah fighters put up fierce resistance. They used drone strikes and anti-tank missiles to target Israeli troops and their armored vehicles.
Although a temporary ceasefire was in effect during this conflict, attacks and counterattacks between the two sides have not stopped in reality. In response to Hezbollah's attacks, the Israeli air force and tanks are reportedly carrying out extensive bombardment in various areas of southern Lebanon.
The ongoing violence is bearing the brunt of the suffering of ordinary people. More than a million people have been displaced and thousands are feared dead in the region, deepening the humanitarian crisis in southern Lebanon.
