Xi Jinping has made four-point proposals to strengthen peace and stability in the Middle East. He made the proposal during a meeting with Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Beijing on Tuesday (April 14).

The proposals include peaceful coexistence, respect for national sovereignty, the rule of international law, and the coordination of development and security. At the meeting, Xi Jinping said it is necessary to build a "joint, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable" security framework for the Middle East and the Gulf region.

He also stressed that the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the countries concerned must be fully respected and the safety of individuals and institutions must be ensured. Highlighting the importance of the rule of international law, he warned that if its authority is weakened, the world could return to the "law of the jungle."

At the same time, he called for a coordinated approach to development and security, saying that everyone must work together to create a favorable environment for the development of Middle Eastern countries.

Meanwhile, in a separate meeting in Beijing, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez opposed the trend of a "new Cold War", economic isolation and supply chain disruption. He stressed the need to strengthen communication, mutual understanding and cooperation between Europe and China, and referred to China as an important global power.
